Single Flash power generation
Hot water dominant type of geothermal power plants has two power generation methods: single flash and double flash.
Mechanism of single flash power generation
Geothermal flows consisting of both water and steam generated under natural pressure, “flash” from underground and are directed to a separator, which allows the steam fraction to be piped to the plant and turn the turbines. Most of the geothermal power plants in Japan uses this power generation method
